: you and your friend claim to have so much knowledge and yet......your friend puts a male and female iguana together!!! "RED FLAG"!!!
: In the iguana rescue field.....you'd be known as someone with NO experence.
: You focus on this freezer topic, like someone is killing an animal, pro-lifers seem to always go over board with their statements, so it explains that part.
: Back let's get back to the basics WHY did your friend put the two together??? Was it out of complete lack of knowledge! Is he that stupid and if so, he should quit caring for reptiles altogether or he'll give us all a bad name. Common sense is all it takes and if he's lacking that, he has no business rescueing iguanas or anything else.

: PS take your sainthood and freezer freakin', and find another home than here, it's gettin' old.
If you had read my entire post, you might have noted that he put them together temporarily until he could obtain another cage. I find this more acceptable than leaving them with the irresponsible previous owner who had quit feeding them a month prior. However, to clarify the story further, I contacted him to find out if the iguanas were housed together before. It seems that they had been together their entire time with the prior owner. It is far more likely that she became gravid in his care (or lack of), instead of in the two days they were together, malnourished and dehydrated, in my friend's care.
As to my ignorance, I have no knowledge of how to breed or incubate iguana eggs because I have had no intention to. These were dropped into our care, and we plan to do the best to care for them. My ignorance, however, does not extend to proper care of iguanas, I have two very healthy males that I have had for the past ten years, after rescuing them from an idiot who was feeding them canned dog food.
As to my attention to the "freezer topic, like someone is killing an animal", yeah , I do not draw a line between a fertile egg and an animal. If you wish to in order to justify abortion, it is your right. It is perfectly legal. As to my being a "pro-lifer", I am not. I support one's right to choice, and that includes my choice not to freeze these eggs.
Finally, as to my taking my "sainthood and freezer-freakin" and finding another home other than here, not a chance. I have broken no rules of this, or any other, forum and am entitled to post here until I do (which won't happen). If you can't intelligently engage in a debate over this, or other, subject, then don't. I consider myself very open minded and am willing to consider anyone's point of view, no matter how it may differ from mine. I have even been known to change my mind when the other side has been presented in a clear, educated and thoughtful manner. This does not include attacks on my intelligence or morality. I am sure that someone on this forum has the brain power to calmly and clearly discuss this.
