Well, Takhisis the dragonqueen (or possibly king) wanted to
write a love note to Iz the dreadful dragon, but I told
her that since she was so young and possibly not a girl
that perhaps we should wait. (I didn't want to tell her
the truth, that she is too small to push the keys, still
three and a half inches snout to vet). So to make amends
I dug out an old electric bed pad, folded it until it was
a smaller rectangle that sits perfectly on my bookcase
next to the computer, covered it with a towel, mounted
a light over it, and viola, a nice basking spot for her
to sit on and keep a careful eye on me from (I made sure
she wasn't looking when I typed that last part, don't
tell her). She surprised me be climbing up the last foot
to the cieling on smooth painted brick, but then I remembered
how sharp those little claws are. Unfortunately today
I got a rather exquisitly painful reminder and will have
to start wearing a glove on my right hand (I have a rather
nasty skin disorder with open cuts on it, and dang do those
needle claws sting in an open wound....) But she also
surprised me today by gobbling a TON of food. I didn't
think she could do it. Her rather skinny body that she
arrived with is now plump and round. She wasn't real
keen on her soak this evening, but didn't get too nuts.
EEEEEK, she's up on the brick wall again. SO funny to
see her eyeing me from up by the cieling clinging to a
nearly smooth wall....
But, she is doing very well, she seems to like watching
TV with me, but when my friend turned on wrestling (blech)
she didn't seem to happy, at least she has good taste.

To answer some questions:
Yes, Alesia and I went to the show in MD and got her.
The name Takhisis is from a book with dragons and stuff
in it, it's the name of some very evil multiheaded dragon.
*cringe* we'll hope she doesn't turn into a terror like
that. (although eating that much you'd think she had many
heads!).

Hrm, well, that's all she could get. I guess they don't
make keyboards with 3.5 inch iguanas in mind. (shhhhh,
I'm trying to giggle at her quietly so she won't get
mad)

DOH, I think she caught me, she's giving me the look of
death.

AHHHH, I forgot how endearing iguanas can be, not having
one for a couple of years.

Anyway, she's doing great, loves her new home, especially
her fake plants and vines to hide in. Haven't noticed
any poop yet... perhaps it's hidden in there, I'll have
to check.
But, she wants me to say hi to everyone until her weight
and spelling get good enough for her to leave her own
messages while I'm at work, like IZ.
