Cage Interior

I am now building my cage.

My questions are about decorating the inside. I want to put logs inside, but I'm not going to pay $10 for a stick. Does anyone have any ideas for weathering a log? Also, I'm interested in growing moss inside. Any problems that could come with that? I know there is a chance that he'll try and eat fake plants, so I'm going to buy one and put it inside and watch him for the first couple of hours and wait a week, if he tries to take a bite then no fake plants. Where are some good places to get these? Anyone got any ideas for what kind of fake plants I should by to make a tropical effect? What should I use to seal the floor? TIA
