I've heard that Iguana's are illegal in New York City, quite a few times. Yet, when I watch animal planet whenever I have some free time, I often see people living in New York City with Green Iguana's. This occured to me while watching a special on the animals involved with 9-11. One of them, was a female green iguana. After being checked up, the iguana as sent home with its owner. --now, the ASPCA was involved with this, and nothing was mentioned about it. Have the laws changed, or are some people a bit soft about it?
Are all exotic pets, ie: snakes, monitors, amphibians, other lizards, etc. also prohibited in NYC, or can you own them with a permit?
..Just a bit of curiosity on the subject. :)
