Linda, I think you did everything that could be expected. Most people wait until the poor creature is at death's door before bringing it to the vet (I'm a vet tech). I didn't know a lot about igs when I bought Lee-Zard, but I found out quickly. She got egg-bound, despite my best efforts and had to have emergency surgery. Even though I was in Baltimore, I had a hard time finding a vet willing to do surgery on an ig. (Which made me decide to be an exotic animal vet, by the way, still in pre-vet, but applying for 2003.) Anyway, we all make mistakes. It's what you do with the mistake that tells a lot about the person. Instead of saying, Oh well, it's a $10 iguana, I'll get another one, you took the time and effort and expense to get her treated and to correct the problems. That says a lot about you, and it's all good. Thanks for posting. I hope Lizzy is all better soon.
