From what I have read and heard about with igs that were fed dog food, their lives were cut way shorter than they probably would have lived. Once in awhile I'm sure you get a real fighter of an ig that will outlive one that wasn't fed dogfood, but their lives still are probably cut shorter than they would have been otherwise. You can only try your best to give good care now and give as long of a life as possible to your ig. In the end, genetics has something to do with it I'm sure. In comparison, some smokers live until their 90's and die of something unrelated to smoking... but a majority will develop lung cancer and other horrible side effects. It's still best not to smoke!
