Temperment varies per individual. Before you adopt an iguana, spend some time with it. A male iguana may be a complete ham, but once breeding season hits, he might throw you for a loop! Female iguana's are the same way. When gravid, they can be cranky. There are some very tame males, and wild females, and vice versa. Sometimes, there is no way of knowing, until you have an iguana for a few months. With some time, you can even earn the trust of a seemingly tempermental iguana.
