The explanation for the good price is that they are the new line of bulbs from Hagen which is based in Montreal. They call the new product line Exoterra (sp?). The technical developement person who designed this line of UV bulbs for Hagen formerly did the same type of work for Zoo-Med. They do sound promising, I am hoping to see some independent lab assessment of them soon.
