If you cost it out over the course of a year, depending where you buy flourescent bulbs vs. mv bulbs it is either comparable or actually LESS than running fluo tubes. This is part of what we've been saying for the last year.... Longer life, greater UV output/greater benefit, less elecrtical usage due to fewer units.
