: First, as I do not know, are there wild caught Igs being sold, or are they mostly captive bred?

There are wild caught (not so common anymore to my knowledge), farm raised (99% of the babies sold in pet stores), and a few of what we would call captive bred. For the most part, there is no money in captive bred iguanas, so resellers will opt for wild caught or farm raised.

: Second, I am not for the ban of the sale of reptiles, but is there a way "they" can ban the sale and/or import of wild caught Igs (or other lizards)?

Lots of people are supporting the ban of iguana sales. I personally do not support it, only because I do not want my right to have an iguana taken away. I do not support iguana farms or capture and sale of wild animals though.
This is a no-win situation... The only solution I can come up with is mandatory licenses for anyone wishing to sell iguanas. Proper education and frequent visits by SPCA type organizations to any facilities selling iguanas would be a requirement for anyone wishing to sell iguanas.

: What limitations do you other Ig people think should be put in place, if any?

Limits on numbers of iguanas sold by any particular seller per year. Mandatory health and wellness visits for any iguana that is sold. Rights for seller to remove any iguana that is not being cared for properly. Maybe licensing for anyone wishing to own an iguana.

: Just a few questions is all. I have just been reading a lot of posts from those of you doing rescue, and was realy wondering your viewpoints on this subject. I hate seeing so many animals being abused and then just tossed away, but I am glad there are some people with te time and patience to care for them. I adopted one Ig, and he has been a handful, I can only imagine what you guys go through.
