You can still give him the greens once in a while if he likes them a lot. My ig LOVES plums and scrambled eggs. Both of them aren't the best, but once a week, I will give him a bit as a treat.
I use the eggs because he will eat the calcium (crushed) and the alfalfa tea in there and won't do that in his other foods. My other board had very conflicting opinions on the egg. Kaplan said NO and Henry (who also wrote a book) said occasionally was okay. Who really knows?

If your ig eats his good food during the day, I wouldn't think there's anything wrong with a little "treat" of the greens he likes.
