you can either take the tree outside or to your basement (IF it's unfinished!) to clean it ... soak it down with bleach solution and let it sit a day, rinse with water, repeat process and let it air dry and air out for a week ... if you have to leave it outside, it'd be good if you could bring it in to finish drying so it doesn't get reinfested with any buggies ...
trim off any really small branches that won't hold you iggy's weight ...
sounds like it's gonna be an awesome enclosure!
