Confiscated Iguanas in NYC??

I just received an email from a rescue group today referring to a number of iguanas recently confiscated by the US Fish and Game Dept at the Port of New York and asking if my rescue/adoption organization would be interested in helping to place these animals. Does anyone know anything at all about this or how legitimate and/or accurate it is?
