: I'd go with air. You still need to provide heat via several disposable heat packs. These can be purchased at any medical supply store. You should place him inside of a large pillowcase or similar cloth bag. Tie this securely so that he cannot escape. Place the bag inside of a styrofoam cooler and pack it securely with loosely crumpled newspaper to prevent him from being bumped around. Don't pack him so tightly that he cannot move. Place the heat packs inside the styrofoam cooler with the newspaper (NOT directly in the pillowcase with the iguana). Finally, tape the lid securely onto the cooler and place the cooler inside of a cardboard box. The cooler should fit snugly inside the box so if there are spaces around the cooler such that it might slide around in the box, pack these tightly with newspaper or packing peanuts. This method provides plenty of insulation and protection against jarring. If you want the best go with Delta Dash. They provide same day delivery with airport pickup only, but are a little more expensive. Airborne Express offers next day delivery and has safely delivered a couple of my lizards. Good luck!
