: : Yahoo Groups ! : : Welcome to the National Amphibian and Reptile Owners Alliance . Being this is a new group many of you are wondering what this group is about . Well the name is partly self explaining . : Also this group has been created to educate the public to address herptile wellfare issues and captive care . We as herpers have a responsability not just to ourselves and our pets but to the conservation of these wonderous animals we have taken into our hearts . So the NAROA has a three fold agenda .Education being the head of list . Herp Welfare is also an important issue as well and is something that has got animal rights groups up in arms . Herp Law is a very important issue as well and must be addressed as many herpers are affected .The herptiles themselves can also be effected greatly by the laws directed at them . : : It is my hope that this group grows we will be able to work with fish and game agencies to effect positive change in law as it relates to reptiles and amphibians .And to also give the public a better understanding about herptiles in the wild and how important they are to us and why we have chosen them as pets . : : Thank You for your attention , : : Kevin Lorentz : Yahoo Groups ! : : Welcome to the National Amphibian and Reptile Owners Alliance . Once we get enough members I want to hold an election to get officers in place . As soon as we get members enough to warent it we can work on an on line news letter . We will need people to help with that and make it as pro as we can . NO MEMBER WILL BE LEFT OUT OF THE LOOP . Once any news hits it will need to be posted on the group list .
