Timers are fabulous! General Electric makes a very nice 8 outlet "24 hour programmable power strip timer." This is a power bar and timer all in one. It's a little more expensive than the cheap wall mount variety (I think I paid $15 for mine), but boy it is worth it! This timer can be programmed to kick on and off every 15 minutes if you want it to and it is absolutely SILENT. I have yet to come across one of the cheaper timers that doesn't make some kind of audible noise. If you have excellent hearing and enjoy your peace and quiet (like myself) this will drive you nuts! Whatever type you choose, you'll definately wonder why you didn't do this years ago! I don't think I could get by without mine! It's also especially nice for your animals to be on a consistent schedule. They will thank you for it! Good luck!
