You think things have changed?

I've been an on again off again participator on this forum for a couple of years now. As long as I've been here, there have been confrontational, belligerent, juvenile, and sometimes just downright nasty people out there. I'm certainly not referring to everyone. There are many educated, rational people involved who are really trying to help people. Unfortunately, each time it seems like it's safe to go back in the water, and I begin posting again, new, ridiculous situations develop, and I usually end up retreating back into the shadows. It really is a terrible shame as this forum could really be a positive influence on many wayward iguana owners if some of us could just back off a little and lose the self-righteous, condescending attitude. I feel a little hypocritical making that comment from my soapbox, but I don't know how else to put it.
