I respect Marisa as a member of this forum and hope she re-evaluates her decison to leave. She may have been a bit too passionate in her initial post. I can respect her opinions, but not the manner in which they were delivered to a NEW iguana forum member. This guy may need a lot more info. and it is not a good idea to alienate someone like that.

Do you know how many times I've wanted to call someone an idiot or go off on them????? I can't count that high... but that is the power of typing your thoughts...you can EDIT them afterwards. Slow down and think about how your words will be taken. There was a time when none of us knew anything about iguanas... how would we like it if someone jumped us for making a mistake? You catch more flies with honey. And some you'll never catch, but you just have to let them go and know you tried your best.

And for the record, I bought Sleestack from a petstore after my first rescued iguana died. My reasons are very personal and I wouldn't expect everyone to understand. I always advocate rescuing to those interested in a new pet because it is the better/more noble choice.
