Hi - I wanted to introduce myself and my ig to you. I became an iguana parent about 5 weeks ago and I'm so happy I've found this place. I've spent the better part of this entire day reading all of your posts and replies. I'm delighted that I am not alone in my passion for my ig. El Guapo is my ig's name...not sure if it's M or F. Usually I call him/her Guapi for short. Guapi has his/her first appointment with the vet on Wednesday, the 17th. I will be sure to post the result of that visit here.
I think it's a wonderful idea for ig parents to help each other find good care in their area. Guapi and I reside in Minneapolis with two cats, Jasper and Lily, and a big male human named Al (aka my husband). My husband is completely convinced that I've lost my mind since Guapi came into my life. I take Guapi in the shower every day with me to groom him, and talk to him. I hope some of you out here also have conversations with your igs. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how much i've enjoyed hearing
