In my post below I was speaking as a person who never has less than 12-14 Green Iguanas in my care. Cleaning and food prep takes up an enormous amount of time, about 10X more time than preparing and cleaning up after almost as many Tegus (easy and fast to remove rodents from the freezer to thaw). It takes me approximately 3 hours to prepare enuff food for my herbivores to last maybe 3 days.

What I failed to mention in the post earlier is that over all of the animals mentioned I'd choose to keep Cyclura Iguanas. As amazingly intelligent and entertaining as Tegus and Monitors are, Cyclura Igs top them both! I enjoy my West Indian iguanas more than any other animal that I keep.
