Do you just have a baby Iguana?? Cuz when they get to be 4 feet long and eat like horses this is not even taking into consideration there breeding times. I get up at 6 am everymorning to make up there salads. I have two Iguana's whom I house totally seperatly. They like there salds served first thing in the am before I go to work. I have to prepare them fresh everyday as it seems they hate it frozen(thawed of course) and its just better for them this way. I have to go to the grocery store about 3 times a week to insure i always have fresh greens. They get only the best!~ I have cage cleaning duty in the evening plus bath time and at least Ziggy will do is HUGE pooh in the tub!~ Miya likes to decorate his cage. Oh clean up is so fun. It must be done daily!~ I also spray them lots in the evening and take them out to interact with me. Ziggy comes out on his own as he is a free roamer when I am home. Miya tends to be shy and lets me know when he wants out by scratching on the door. It has taken me a year to tame Miya as he had been bounced from hom to home as he grew up and in general had very good reason to hate people. He finally trusts me!YEAH!~ This took alot of patience plus we built him a huge cage that he adores. As for Ziggy I adopted him from a family that bought him for there kid and now he was just to big. Lucky for me!~ As Ziggy is great!~ But yes lots of work. They are both on timers but the work is making sure they get a balanced diet and keeping them clean. Plus making sure the humidity is high enough. Thats a tough one where I live. But from the looks of there spikes I would say I am doing a good job. Its kinda a labor of love!~ So its not all that bad!~ However my husband doesn't share this labor and says geezzz those lizards are alot of work!LOL~ He has Uromastics~ WOW they are easy!~ They are desert lizards and don't require much!~ Plus there is no maddness from breeding!~ A 4 foot iguana sure can turn into a Monstor when its breeding time!~ Which leads to even more hard work trying to keep all your fingers!LOL~ Tiffany
