I'm sure they like the mesh very much since it's easy for them climb around on. The problem is, as they grow, so will their claws and they are going to be able to easily rip through it.
In addition to that -unless you live in a tropical climate ... a mesh cage will never allow you to keep temps and humidity as high as they need to be.
In closing -everyone who has already posted to you is right. The cage you have will not properly house 4 iguanas as they grow. Even as hatchlings/sub-adults, iguanas are territorial in nature and you are going to have some fights on your hands.
You need to seperate the igs, have a 3'x6'x6' enclosure for each within 1 year of hatchling age. Each cage needs to have a UVB source, a heat source and a humdity source. You need 4 food dishes, 4 water bowl, a ton of fresh food and a good herp vet.
