: : : How old is the Iguana? Where in Queens, I live in Long Island.

: : :
: : : : Hey guys. I'm new on the herp forums and have had about everything but iguanas, just so you know where I'm coming from.
: : : : Anyway, a friend of mine is looking for a new home for an adult male. He has had no problems with it as far as I know. I think he's just run out of space because it got crammed with herps, and this is one of
: : : : the animals he decided he could do without. It's too bad so many iguanas face this problem. I'm glad I didn't get one when I was a beginner at this hobby. Now that I have experience and am planning to be into field research with herps,
: : : : I kinda have a real admiration for them. Iguanas are really impressive! Well, if anyone out there lives near Queens,NY and would like to give an iguana a home, email me. Thanks.

: : I don't know but I will ask? Any other questions?

: I think those are my questions for now, I need that info plus I have to talk it over with my wife. We already have a house full of reptiles and wont add another iguana unless we're ready.

: Let me know!

I talked again with the guy (named John). He actually has 3 males and is looking to give up 2 out of 3 'cause his house is full of herps too. Ages are 3-4 yrs, 1&1/2 yrs and 14 mos. Sizes are respective to their ages.
All are healthy and were given up by other people originally. John just can't keep 3 males in the same house. Even with no other herps around, that can spell problems since iguanas are so territorial. Take a little time for you and your wife
to think about it and let me know what you decide.
