Just as important as the height is stretching room. Iguanas like to climb, but they arent tall, they are long. Look at it this way: The typical human stands upright at about 6' tall and 2' wide compared to an adult iguana which stands 6" tall and 6' wide (long). Putting him in a tank that is 4' high X 2' wide X 1.5' deep is like you living in a space 6' high X 3' high X 3' deep. Bottom line is, that its just as bad to have no room to stretch than it is to have no room to climb. Keep it the way you have it till you can build something BIG.
: I've been wondering something recently. I have my iguana housed in an 86 gallon tank, its 4'L x 2'H x 1.5'D. I know that an iguanas enclosure is going to have to be bigger, and I already have plans to make one eventually, but right now, this is all I've got.
: Now, my question is: An iguna's enclosure is supposed to be tall right? SO what if I flip the tank up on it's one end so that it's dimensions are 4'H x 2' W x 1.5'D? Would that suffice, or should I just keep it how it is? The only thing I can see being a problem is mounting the stuff inside the tank, as the walls are glass.
: So would this work? Also, what could I do to fix the mounting problem?
: Thanks for the help.
