: Yeah I feel really bad about the tail odds are that I feel worse than the iguana does. How long should I wait about him not eating before I start to get worried? (Well more worried than I already am) I have been putting food in twice a day at around 7:00am and then I change it at 5:00pm. I am using collard greens, mustard greens, carrots, grapes, green beans, and brocolli. I also have a dry food that I add to the mix. I have a vitamin suppliment but havn't used it yet. Is there anything that iguana's really enjoy eating that might convince him to come down and check out what's in the food dish?
I'd say give him a week from when you got him, I wouldnt leave it longer than that. With brocoli, the leaves are better than the flowers. Broccoli flowers can be given on occasion. I dont know if there is a favorite for igs. Mine seems to change his favorite food every week! Try to give him a big variety and then you can see what he likes the most.
I think you just need to give him time...a lot of time. but make sure he starts eating first...and think about that vet visit.
