Caesar is the result of COMPLETE and totally wrong care. He was housed in a cage with a finch. He has never seen sunlight or had any UVB. He was fed lettuce, and some various vegetables that were all totally wrong. Sat on a heat rock. No where to climb. I could go on...
His sickness was so far progressed when we got him that the only thing we could do was give him heat, humidity, and try to get him to eat or drink something. He took a little water and some mashed greens out of a syringe, but the poor guys throat was so swollen, there just wasnt much we could do. Heat, humidity, and food cannot solve every problem. Caesar passed away the day after we took him in. Trust me, if more could have been done, it would have been.
Imagine your iguana at 1 year old, and less than 30 grams. I have a leopard gecko that weighs more than twice as much as Caesar did.
Incredibly sad...
