Pregnant?!?!?!

I have two iguanas and over the last two or so weeks one of them has begun to eat alot more, he/she has gained alot of weight, and is now a darker color than normal..also the little frill thing on the back of its neck/head has gotten bigger..
it has started to hide in different places around the cage when it used to just hang out on the stick..the other one has also become quite protective of it..
what could be with it?.. could it be pregnant?
