Sounds like algae. Fungus is usually black/grey with fuzz. Any microbe growth that covers the eggs will smother them, whether it's algae, bacteria, or fungal. They might need reduced water, but don't dehydrate them. Are they half-buried? Move some substrate away from the eggs. Keep it up, you might be surprised at how tenacious eggs can be.
I hatched out some gopher snake eggs opnce, and some were growing fuzz but they made it. I kept them for a year, then let them go in a local wldland park.
So I got the "I want to hatch the eggs" ambition out of my system; It's a lot of work ;-)
