: I live in kentucky and i have 2 iguanas. 1 is almost 2 foot long and the other is about 1-2 months old. I need to find the younger one a home. it was given to me and the 2 do not like each other. i am having major cage problems and right now i have the iguana in a big plastis critter keeper. i need to find a home for it fast cause it isnt getting the proper space or light it needs. when the other iguana is out of the big cage i put the smaller one in the cage so it can bask in the light. it is in there for about 2 hours a day. please i need somebody to adopt this iguana. e-mail me if interested at nomad454ss@aol.com

Anthony -- can you use a household bulb to keep the little one warm until you find it a home?
When mine was small and I took him out, we had a desk lamp with a bendable neck and I would bend it so it made a little spot of light and when the iggy was cold, he would bask under the spot for a little while.

Keep him away from the big one because he is probably SO scared, plus if he doesn't get his light, he won't eat and if he would, he couldn't digest his food. Two hours a day is NOT enough to keep him warm. Also, they need sunshine or a 5.0 UVB fluorescent bulb to utilize the vitamins in their food. If they don't get all of these lights (or sun), they can develop a disease and die.

Also, the big one could maim or even kill the little one, keep it from food and everything else.

I hope you find a home for it.
