CORNISH GUARDIAN (Truro, UK) 11 January 02 Iguanas need help!
Plymouth's iguana rescue organisation is calling for donations - so it can house more reptiles.
People are being asked to help the Plymouth Green Iguana Rescue Home, run for the past year by Rowena Cross in Keyham, with her husband, David.
So far, she has nine green iguanas but is now looking for wood, electrical wire and Perspex to build a new sectional garage in her garden to house up to 11 more iguanas.
Her current intake of rescued iguanas live in a cage in a spare room.
Mrs Cross, registered disabled, said: "We are still waiting to build the shed.
"We have had several people helping and have been given a length of wire and a transport cage and a woman who donated £20, which was great."
People can help by donating materials to the project or by giving money.
Contact Mrs Cross on 218189.
