Glad to hear he got back in his cage without anymore biting! If he was tame before, then perhaps he is going through breeding season.
I have heard of people head bobbing back at their ig, as funny as that sounds. And it does work. Keep it up and don't let him think he's intimidated you.
And when you do decide to let him out( I wouldn't now while he is very aggressive unless you think you can handle him) make sure you ig proof your room. They get into everything and will put anything in their mouths, like a little kid. And make sure you disinfect where he has been, like on countertops or tables. Good luck!
