Make sure that you are buying the redesigned Active if that is the bulb that you went with. When T-Rex bought the bulb they shortened the neck on them and reportedly made the bulb a bit stronger. We haven't seen any numbers yet so we can't confirm or deny that personally. But we have seen the new design and the nice thing about it is that, like the PowerSun, it fits nicely inside a 10" dome now instead of sticking out almost half an inch.

We do all of our business with HerpSupplies.com. They're getting $54 for Actives right now. Maybe not the cheapest price but we make a conscious choice to shop there because they are strictly a supply house. I don't believe that they even deal with feeder animals. We feel that it is important to patronize businesses that are making choices like that.

Good luck in your search. Who knows, Gordy may feel a bit more friendly after a few days under some good solid UV.....
