I dont know how it works where you live, but I found 4 abandoned puppies of about 1 week old which needed hand rearing for about 2 months. The food cost too much money along with the vaccinations and vet check ups etc. I went to the SPCA ( Society for the prevention to cruelty to animals ) and they were prepared to take them from me and raise them themselves. I then told them that I was prepared to raise them but I just couldnt afford it, so they paid it for me. I then gave the puppies to then when they were reared, so I dont knwo how it would work for an iguana you'd probably want to keep...but hey, its worth a try?
