Recently at work we recieved an iguana from a lady who had taken him from his owner. We do not know how old he is. All we know is that he has never seen UV light in his life. His front legs are terribly deformed from MBD. He has lived his entire life in a 20 long tank with only a heat rock for warmth and was only fed a table spoon of pellets every few days. While we are doing the best we can with what extra money we can dig up our store knows that we are not the best people to rehab this poor animal.
Amazingly for the bad shape he is in he is very calm and gentle. He cannot climb because his front limbs are nearly useless. PLEASE!!! SOMEONE help me find him a good home with some nice, knowledgeable people who can give him a second chance. I would myself but I do not personally have the means and money to take on another iguana, besides the fact that mine is 2X this little doods size and really does not like him one bit.
PLease help him. He's a tough little guy with a great personality. AS I said, we'd do it ourselves but we don't have the facilities or money to help him.
If you are willing to offer him a second chance and help him with his disablity I would be glad to pay for shipping costs.
Please e-mail me at motzie@newts.org
