Thanks for all the great info, I'm sure to come here often! As for the growth and care, we've thought about it and know what we're getting into. We keep turtles and presently have 23, so we're used to the daily feedings, cleanings, soaks, and of course the trips to the vets. Once the iguana gets large enough it will have it's own room, but for now it will have a 65 gallon reptarium with plenty of light and climbing areas.
As for the pinworms, how do you treat that? Does Panicur (sp?) or other dewormers work for those?
Luckily we found a great vet in our area who treats reptiles, she did an excellent job on one of our three-toed box turtles with an abcess and on a large iguana my fiance had who got his
jaw broken trying to mate with a larger female.
Hopefully we'll have our new addition next weekend, as we are going to a reptile show in Maryland. I just can't wait.
Once we get it, we'll be sure to get pics to show. We'll most likely add it to our web page (which by the way, if you want to check out the turtles we have now, most of them are there, with updates coming).
Again thanks!
Lesha
