: Couple questions for you knowledgeable folks. Just took Iguana to the vet, and found that she has inflammation in her mouth. She is on antibiotics(Clavamox, which contains:amoxicillin clavulanic acid.), and the vet was going to give us some betadine but forgot, and we didn't realize till we got home. So my first question is where does one find betadine, and what dilution is needed.

Betadine can be purchased just about anywhere that sells pharmacy type items. WalMart, the grocery store, the pharmacy, places like that. Generally speaking betadine is NOT used orally so I would call the vet back and make sure you have his/her usage instructions correct. Betadine is generally used to clean external wounds. The key to proper dilution is to add enough betadine to the water so that it becomes the color of weak tea.

: Second question, I used to feed my iguana tofu and she really liked it, but I heard it was not good for them. But it would be a good way to give my iguana her vitamins. Is tofu bad? or is it ok, in moderation? and what kind of tofu is good if it is ok for them.

Tofu is very high in fat and should not be a staple item in an iguana's diet. There is no one tofu product that is better than another. If used as a treat, use it sparingly (once or twice a month tops). As far as using it to give vitamins, I'm a little confused. Are you adding the vitamins to the tofu or using tofu as the vitamin? If an iguana is fed a good diet, as a rule of thumb, they don't extra supplementation. If you were using it for supplementation, there are better choices than tofu.
