: i run a rescue and have had this prob. for awhile. ZEUS my founder of the rescue is a 5 yr. old 5 ft. male. he has a room to himself equiped with his lighting and heat, all regulated, but anyways he usually roams the house when im home and still manages to carry a fighter nose. he consistantly running into things and banging it up (it was damaged when dropped off) and a flush and betadine usually clear it up BUT by the time it heals and looks normal he damages it again. on tables, cages and any hard surface. is there anything i can do to discourage this behavior ( im taking a shot on this, hes done this for the past 3 yrs. now) but maybe some1 will have soe suggestions :)

My ig is starting to smack into things, too. It's "breeding season" for him right now and whenever he sees himself in a glass window or mirror, he throws himself into it. I've had to cover the mirror in his room and have to be careful about the window he sits at, if the light is a certain way he sees himself and again bloodied his nose and above his nostril again.
