In Reply to: can I put fake plants in my Iguana tank???? Also........ posted by fulklip on January 02, 2002 at 22:18:35:
uhhh that light doesn't sound very safe...for some reason I'm imagining my iguana frying up or setting the house on fire!!! I would go with conventional lights that are safe for household use or reptile lights. As far as fake plants, you can use them but make sure they don't come apart easily (can't be the kind where the leaves snap on-- those kind fall apart and can be eaten accidentally or purposefully) Also if your ig likes to eat inanimate objects like my last one, make sure he can't reach them or just don't use them.
: Is it safe to use a red french fry light, it seems to give off more heat then your regular 150 W bulb.....
