As for my later comments, they come out of frustration and I often use my biting sense of humor to deal with situations. You asked me a very good question in the middle of all this and I would like to give you an answer. The reason I get so irritated by snappish/rude/careless replies is that very often people post their questions or issues to forums and when they get an answer they do not like, even though it's the truth, they explode. I have developed a rather thick skin the past year because not only do I participate in forums, I also am part of a team that does education in real time settings. There is nothing worse than someone screaming at you in the middle of the reptile expo because they asked you a question and don't like the answer you gave them. You're new here so you've missed some of the greatest temper tantrums of all times, it's gotten to the point where I can do nothing more but laugh!

And not that I need to make excuses for Christy ... but let me just say she is one of the most devoted iggy moms I have ever had the pleasure of working with! She is so impassioned that I think she forgets to breathe sometimes! :) Please do not mistake her enthusiasm for hatred ... get to know her, she is a great person (just like a lot of others here)and has a ton of great info to share!

There are a handful of folks who have free roamers here, myself included. I think we all have our different tips and tricks we use -mine is that we have an enclosure for the free roamer for when we are not here or we need to have her in a safe place while we have company. Actually, we just open the door on her enclosure but she would rather sit and bask than come out and play anymore (every since she laid her unfertilized eggs last years it seems as though she is too mature to come watch TV with us lol). Being that you are pregnant, you should definetly begin thinking about how you are going to deal with free roamers and a new baby. You have already witnessed what can happen when you are watching -be prepared for what may eventually happen when you are not.
