: You shouldn't feed an iguana a lot of lettuce due to little or no nutritional value. Iguanas usually need leafy green vegies but they also eat just about any kind of vegies. They should not be fed more than 10% of their toal diet from manufactured iguana food. it is like feeding your iguana cup cakes and ding dongs and after a while they won't eat anything else. I feed my 15 pound 5' iguana frozen mixed vegtables microwaved for about 1 min. I got my iguana from someone who had had him for quite some time and he never eats anything but mied vegies with an ocassional fruit here and there. The best thing you can do for your iguana is to remimber that he must have uv light in order to digest his food properly.
