They sure do. Mine never eat as well when I'm gone and my caretakers say they seem depressed. Sometimes they'll leave poopie presents if they are really agitated. They definitely know their owners. We've gone away enough that I don't worry too much anymore. They can adapt as long as my freinds come over here and keep with the rest of their routine-- if they have to go somewhere else or are not on schedule, then there will be hell to pay!!! Freak-0ut city!
