OUCHOUCHOUCHOUCHOUCH!!!
Thanks for the heads-up - although I was probably paranoid enough to begin with. :-) GL with your ig and get well soon!

: #1 - sand your fingertips.

: #2 - burn your fingertips.

: #3 - let your attention wander for a second while handfeeding a favourite treat to a large iguana.

: Needless to say, I just experienced #3. Even though this was an "I didn't know this was your finger" bite, Guy took off a piece of the pad on my thumb, and left three 1/8" deep slices on my index finger. I hate to imagine the damage if he ever gets a hold on me when he's mad! Good thing it's my left hand, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this... It's amazing how sharp those teeth are, all I felt was the pressure, not pain, not tearing skin. The cuts look like scalpel slices... It's plenty bad, but not bad enough for an emergecy room visit. I treated it myself - washed well with diluted betadine, and bandaged with an antibiotic. When I treat injuries like that right away, they usualy heal without getting infected. We'll see. I have to say, it was an interesting (eye-opening) experience.

: Be aware of your igs, everyone, and learn from my mistake :)
