the best wood that i have found to use is corkbark. it is fairly expensive but not if you buy it in bulk. if you go to a local show you can probably get a 4-5' piece for under $75 and it is very good for climing.
the other good wood is grapevine. some wineries (SP?) dispose of their old grapewood periodically and it is also very good for iguanas. it is very heavy, though, so it has to be supported well in a cage.
