If you go with a fluorescent tube for UV you will need both a seperate basking spot AND an ambient heat source. For heat your two basic choices are ceramic heat emitters (CHEs) and radiant heat panels (RHPs). Personally, I prefer RHPs. Safer and more efficient in my opinion.
If you go with a mercury vapor bulb (Active UVHeat or PowerSun) that should be the only *bulb* that you have to buy. You would still need an ambient heat source. ANd you would have to tailor both the wattage of the bulb and the wattage of the RHP to the enclosure that they are being installed in. We run an RHP in conjunction with an ESU temperature controller and have never in two years had a problem with it at all.
Heating pads aren't necessary and don't really accomplish anything beneficial for an ig. Igs are designed to absorb the majority of their heat from above. Heat *rocks" on the other hand are just plain dangerous and shouldn't even be allowed on the market any more.
Take a look at HerpSupplies.com for anything that you're looking for.
