I'm confused as to why you asked for anyone's opinion then. If the enclosure was going to be used for long term/permanent use instead of the 3-4 days that you had originally suggested then, personally, I would have built a portable enclosure that would allow 100% of UV through and been suitable for not only iguanas but BDs and anything else that might benefit from it.
With currently 13 iguanas and 2 BDs in-house we do what we can with what we have. Since a large dog crate was donated to us it tends to serve well for "short term" use when we have a sizable lizard come in and don't have an enclosure ready for it yet. Fortunately, the scorpion, skink, 2 hatchling igs, and the 5' American alligator weren't around long enough to have to worry about thanks for foster situations.
Having my animals settle for 50% of available natural UV when they didn't have to wouldn't be an option for me. But that's why I'm called "me".......
