It was only one test that was performed with very rudimentary UV equipment but I DID do a quick test on a reptarium that was outdoors this past summer. Found that reptariums appear to cut down the amount of available UVB by as much as 50%. Just something to take into consideration if one was to use this for an outdoor cage.
For a quick short term cage, large dog crates work rather well. We use them from time to time when space is tight. If it's only for a few daysthere shouldn't be a problem withit as long as temps and humidity can be adjusted when necessary.
