Thanks for the follow up, I hope you don't mind a few more questions. I love the idea of finding a frame to work with, you should see the intricate plans I have been tossing around to try and create something similar out of wood. Did the shelving unit already have that shape, or is it a modular thing that you created out of peices parts? Also, did the shelving unit have a brand name? Also, what are approximate dimensions? Thanks again.

: I'll try to explain the best I can how we built it (me and bf).

: Here I have a store called reno-depot (same as home depot i guess) well for the base of the cage (black metal frame) I bought a shelf unit that is used to store tools. It was all made with 3 shelves, bottom, middle, top. Well I cut a big hole in the middle one and put a tree in the middle. Cut holes in the top one for the lights etc.. and cut one just to put in the corner for a triangular basking shelf. I put linolium floor on the bottom. Oh and put carpet all around the shelves (the shelves of that thing are removable, so you can play how you want with them). It's was not hard building it. If you can find a kind of frame for the cage, it's wonderful what you can do. Oh and I put plexiglass on the 2 front sides, and the back sides are thin wood with holes (but if I would of known, I would of put something else)But: it's good for aeration etc...and the door in the back (one of the wodden hole boards) closes with velcro (again: i'm looking for another system, because Maya pushed the velcro and comes out). That's about it! Maybe I wasn't super clear but if you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

: Helene
