Good UV bulb - $20-$60 1-2x year
Weekly vegetables/occassional fruit - $10-$20
Wood for 6x6x3 (min.)adult enclosure - free if you scavenge - $500+ if you do everything top quality.
Electronics for light,heat,humidity - $150 +/-
bi-annual "wellness" checks at qualified vet - $60-$100 +/-.
Occassional "emergency" visit - $30-$3000+ depending on diagnosis.
Reward for knowing that you are giving your ig the best possible care - priceless.
Having said that, get a copy of James Hatfield's book IMMEDIATELY and continue with your research before, during, and after you finish reading it. You may also want to look into a copy of David Krughoff's "Reptile Lighting 2000" or "2001" if he has updated it yet. Why is it that iguanas have to be removed from their main enclosures? How big is this 7 yr old that you are getting?
