In Reply to: Oh I know she can puff up LOL I mean the size of it when NOT puffed up has posted by Christy on December 10, 2001 at 20:15:10:
: :grown, just basically stating that part as a sign of her great growth.
:
: : This could be a weird ? but gotta ask. the ones of you who know Double d's story know shes basically spikeless witha few tiny spikes on her tail and a few nubs on the lower part of her body. Anyway and not sure why just now its become noticable but its probably been that way for a bit as shes GROWING up on us. from 16 inches when we got her 10 months ago to 28 1/2 inches last month.
: : : ANYWAY right behind her head where her spikes Would begin, that area that would "hold" the spikes is raised up. Its not bulging or anything just looks like it has grown, is this a normal thing or and im just missing it or is this something I need to have checked out??? Ill try to get a pic as soon as I can find which one of my girls ran off with the camera. It dosent look out of the ordinary and the area is the same as it was when I first got her only bigger kind of raised higher off her neck also her (jowl i think its called" that dewlap thingy OH geez the skin that she puffs up when she's ticked that I took her pillow or that I walked into her cage without announcing myself first has also grown in size im not woried about htat just thought id mention it.
: : If you mean does it puff up down around that "disc" -- yes. Mine is about l9 months old and about a month ago I noticed he can puff it up. I don't know much about the spikes as Max has just about all of his. He's only missing one or two because he forces himself under furniture.
I wasn't sure. I notice mine started to look like he has mumps now when he's in certain positions.
