Build the enclosure do a foster situation for them, then you can see if an iguana's for you WHILE helping out an iguana in need and if you choose that you can handle it then you could just adopt the one you had or if not you could still care for the iguana till a permant home is avaliable or till the rescue had another foster home.
: I would like to get an Iguana. I want to get one that is not a baby.(Adoption). To give an older iguana a second chance. I have looked into moniters but do not like the rodent feeding idea and the cost of them. I have owned different types fo lizards in the past. I am willing to build a giant enclousure 6x6x3, and have over $500 set aside in the bank for the first couple of vet bills. I have the patiance and the time to handle it. Should I really get an iguana, I am kind of having second thoughts on a moniter?
